Online survey privacy statement

Information about the protection of your data

It goes without saying that we handle the data you entrust to us as part of our online survey in a responsible manner and observe all relevant provisions set forth by data protection law. These provisions include information about the purpose, type and scope of the collection, processing and use of the data collected by our survey. We would like to take this opportunity to provide you with this information.

1. Why does the online survey collect your responses, and how are they processed?

We use your responses to the survey for the following purposes:

  • We would like to find out what you think about the pages on our website.
  • We would like to continuously improve our online offering for the benefit of our users.

Your responses are recorded anonymously and processed only in this form. As a result, it is not possible to trace them back to specific individuals or to determine your identity or that of others who participate in the survey. Your data will not be used for any purpose other than this survey. We assure you that your data will not be passed on to third parties.

2. What technical access data is processed as part of the survey and for what purpose?

The way the internet works means that every time you access a given website from your browser, data is transmitted to a web server. This includes information about the type of software used (including browser and operating system), the use of a website (including the name of the domain/page visited, start and length of the visit) and the IP address assigned permanently or temporarily to your computer by the network operator.

We don’t save any IP addresses
Saving IP addresses means that it may be possible to attribute specific data to an internet user’s computer after the fact. We therefore never save IP addresses during this survey, not even temporarily or in part.

We only save statistical web data
In order to determine how often a website is accessed, we use a web beacon that tracks the frequency of invitations.

We use cookies for technical survey management
We use what are known as HTTP cookies for our online survey. These cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer through the web browser. No flash cookies are used for the survey.

A cookie from the domain myaudience.de is stored in your browser. It has a service life of a maximum of twelve months and contains information regarding whether and when another survey invitation should be sent. The sole purpose of saving and retrieving this information is to avoid sending you an invitation to participate in our survey when this is not welcome, or to avoid sending you an invitation too frequently or repeatedly. Our survey also uses what are known as session cookies, which are automatically deleted when your browser is closed. Their purpose is to ensure the survey’s technical operation.

In addition, we collect statistical data for analysing website traffic. We do not save any information you provide during the survey in a cookie, nor do we use the information from the cookies to create movement or usage profiles.

Right of refusal to the use of cookies according to Sec. 15 (3) German Telemedia Act (Telemediengesetz − TMG)
You may refuse the use of cookies by configuring settings in your browser to block our survey cookie. Your browser’s help function will explain to you in detail how to select the appropriate settings. Alternatively, you can delete all cookies in your browser. Instructions on how to delete cookies are likewise found using your browser’s help function. If you delete our cookie, you might be invited again to participate in our survey.

We have commissioned Web Excellence GmbH to carry out the survey. You may contact this service provider at any time if you have further questions regarding how our online survey is conducted or evaluated.
